Regulatory Framework DJV Insulations are a HSE licensed Asbestos Removal Contractor. All work carried out by DJV Insulations is in full compliance with legislative requirements. The New Control of Asbestos Regulations NI 2007 places an enhanced emphasis on training for those persons involved in the asbestos removal process. DJV Insulations will thoroughly clean the area prior to the erecting of the enclosure. 2. DJV Insulations will ensure that there is a clear and designated transit route. Or preferably ensure that the decontamination unit is linked to the enclosed area. 3. DJV Insulations carry out internal audits and quality checks - the enclosures are monitored on a daily basis, cleaned and signed off. The enclosures are designed so as far as reasonably possible that they can incorporate a bag lock system linked to the storage container. 4. Certification and maintenance of air management equipment. 5. DJV have a fleet of especially designed asbestos containers and we also own our own Lorries with specializing lifting equipment. 6. DJV Insulations cannot move asbestos waste from a site until a consignment note from the Environment and Heritage Service is obtained. DJV Insulations must provide the Environment and Heritage Service with three full days notice before the asbestos waste can be moved. We must specify which approved licensed landfill site the waste will be going to. 7. DJV Insulations must take the waste straight from a site to either a licensed landfill site or a transfer station as the asbestos waste must never be left anywhere but these two places. 8.All DJV Insulations staff dealing with waste notification and disposal have been specially trained by the Environment and Heritage Service. 9.DJV will work with any independent UKAS accredited analyst to achieve 4 stage certification on all licensable activity. 10.DJV will be happy to act as practicable asbestos consultants to establish the best and safest solution to any asbestos problem.
